Sunderland Civic Centre June 1969
-
Description
The sun reflects brightly off the new Civic Centre still under construction. Designed by Sir Basil Spence, at the core of the building are the two hollow hexagon office blocks aligned along Burden Road. The dreary Crowtree shopping centre, flats and bus station are clearly shown top left of the image.
