Yoshino - Elswick - 1892

  • Description

The cruiser 'Yoshino' was built at the Elswick shipyard in 1892. Here a representative of the Japanese navy inspects the ship during construction. It was not uncommon for Japanese Navy officers to travel to Newcastle to see the work Armstrong did for them.
