  • Description

This is a photograph taken at some time in the 1940's. It shows an advert for Deerskin shoes, made from the hide of the Jesmond Dene Deer in Newcastle upon Tyne. The image is part of a collection capturing the changing face of Fashion in Newcastle upon Tyne, from the 1940’s to the 1970’s. This is expressed through photographs of shop fronts, advertising photography and product photography.
