    This is a photograph of the nurses and patients at Longshaw Lodge Convalescent Home for Wounded Soldiers, Grindleford, near Sheffield. This photograph was taken in June 1917. Reference: DF.BGS-4-9-6 The photograph is part of a larger collection that offers a rare and intimate glimpse in to the Life of a Wounded Soldier recovering from the horrors of World War One. This particular set of photographs is taken from a collection held at Tyne & Wear Archives capturing the every day lives of the nurses and patients at the 3rd Northern General Hospital, Sheffield and Longshaw Lodge Convalescent Home for Wounded Soldiers, Grindleford, near Sheffield.
