Muncaster Mill - Waterwheel

  • Description

"The waterwheel just as it starts up. There is a trapdoor at the end of the pen trough which feeds onto the wheel which allows the water to fall behind the wheel. When this trap is closed the water rushes onto the top of the wheel and at first cascades down over it until it slowly starts moving." Photo by David Priestley, 1997.
