There are no surface remains. The site was excavated in 1948. More information : (NY 2431 6175) Turret (GS) (site of) (1) Turret 78A was identified on the ground in 1948. It lies 100ft north-west of the west corner of Kirkland farm-buildings, in the line of hedge bordering the south side of the road to Port Carlisle. (2) No visible remains.
