    Wall Mile 77 (September 7, 2011). Mike Bishop's PLV blog about walking Hadrian’s Wall written from an archaeologist’s point of view. "The National Trail now takes us off looking for the Vallum, which so far has been quietly shadowing us, masquerading as hedgerows and field boundaries. Head down the driveway towards the Cottage & Glendale Holiday Park; as we proceed, we are crossing the line of the ditch and then the Wall itself, with Milecastle 78 in the field to our right, before turning left along the line of the Vallum. The track takes us to the village of Glasson and a decision...."
