Ladyshield

  • Description

"Dianne Godfrey e-mailed me in 2008 and that can be viewed on the other Ladyshield entry. The information below was sent on 8th April 2009 and gives another insight to life on a remote cottage in the 1950's The extension on the west side was the byre where the hens were kept, also the logs, water tank and mangle. The little lean- to on the east side housed the Elsan chemical toilet, garden tools and grandpa's boot last for repairing the boots and shoes. I have strong memories of it silhouetted against the tiny window. Once again, thank you for bothering to send them. I really do appreciate it." Photo by Les Hull, 2009.
