Crossing the Roman parade ground above Hardknott fort
-
Description
"Flat ground is at a premium on the ridge where the Romans placed their fort of Mediobogdum. It is east of the fort at a slightly higher elevation http://www.roman-britain.org/places/images/hardknott_plan.gif and must have been a bleak spot to parade on a typical wet, blowy Cumbrian morning. Our visit was warm and sunny with the craggy peak of Border End dominating the background." Photo by Karl and Ali, 2012. -
