    "Carved stone post by the B6318, in parish of Wall (Tynedale District), Bruton Bank, opposite Hilcot, 230m East of High Bruton, in verge against wall, on South side of road. Military road number tombstone, erected by the Newcastle upon Tyne to Carlisle turnpike trust in the 18th century. Inscription reads:- 20 (To Newcastle) Grade II listed.
