    Wall ditch west of Milecastle 24 (Wall Fell), just west of Turret 24a. Note how the ditch-diggers have used the lie of the land to enhance the counterscarp by aligning it parallel with the edge of the foreslope (to the left). Looking E Handbook p.187.
