Wall Mile 11

  • Description

    Building inscription within an ansate panel (tabula ansata) from Hadrian's Wall now in the church at Heddon-on-the-Wall, Northumberland (and presumably from either Wall Miles 11 or 12). This is RIB 1387 which reads c(enturia) Fl(avi) As/[... or 'The century of Flavius As[... (built this)'.
