Wall Mile 50

  • Description

The line of the Turf Wall ditch as it diverges from the Stone Wall course, just east of Milecastle 51. The Turf Wall is to the right of the ditch. Taking a path across an earthwork in this way is always risky, but whilst the turf remains in good condition the monument is protected. Looking E Handbook pp.308–11.
