    View northeast from the top of the park over the town and across the Duddon Estuary. The Infants and Girls’ Schools are central. Devonshire Road curves round to the Ironworks and Borwick Rails.The terraced streets go back right to the edge of the slag bank. Mainsgate Road on the right leads to Hodbarrow mines.
