Early 20th Century. A semi-detached shop building, with sign reading M. Thompson, Grocer; Scales Post Office, and an advert for 'Drink Taylor's Hop Bitters'. Women and 12 children gathered outside for cameraman. Small boy by gatepost typifies 'urchin'. This may be at the Aldingham end of the village.
