View across dock and channel to Walney Island. A three masted sailing boat in the the lock and a dredger in the graving dock (now the dock museum). Quayside with piles of timber, Gradwell’s on the West side of Devonshire dock. Some railway wagons with TE Butler on town side. Horse and carts crossing the caisson bridge. Walney Promenade with the Presbyterian Church seen across the Channel.
