Burdhopecrag Hall (Rochester and Byrness)
-
Description
Burdhopecrag Hall is first recorded in 1584 and appears in several documents in the 17th and 18th centuries. A history of the hall was written in the early 19th century. The hall and its outbuildings were used by the army as an administrative site from about the 1930s and were part of the Redesdale Camp. Unfortunately the hall was destroyed by fire in August 1957 and the site was finally cleared in 1964..... -
