Tressle bridge bases in the River Rede at Catcleugh
-
Description
"Remnants of bridge bases for a 3' gauge railway which ran from Woodburn to Catcleugh for a decade from 1895. This railway facilitated the transport of materials for the construction of Catcleugh Reservoir; water from which was destined for the expanding south Tyneside population."
