Old Milestone, Former A68, East End of Catcleugh Reservoir

    "The milestone is located on the old road before the reservoir was built and the A68 was diverted, 40m south east of Catleugh House on the grass verge on the north side of the road. Parish of Rochester (Tynedale District). Carved stone post, Newcastle quadrant stone design, erected by the Elsdon & Rudwater turnpike trust in the 19th century.
