    "Carved stone post by the A686, in parish of PLENMELLER WITH WHITFIELD (TYNEDALE District), Bearsbridge, on grass verge, back to wire fence, on South side of road. Haydon Bridge stone, erected by the Alston turnpike trust in the 18th century. Inscription reads:- HAYDON BRIDGE 7 ALSTON 10 Milestone Society National ID: NB_HBAS07." Photo by IA Davison, 2006.
