Barbon - Cross

    ....Latin cross of Derbyshire stone, solid and plain in character, mounted on a square section plinth with chamfered corners which carries the inscriptions. The Dedication on the South face is carved under a Maltese cross, the WW1 Names are on the West and East faces, and the WW2 Names are on the North face. The names are leaded. The plinth is mounted on octagonal two steps surmounting a base of masonry of substantial construction. The memorial sits within an octagonal pebbled, kerbed area at the road junction....
