    "Cast iron post by the B6276, in parish of LUNEDALE (TEESDALE District), Grains o' th' Beck, 15m North of bridge over River Lune, Laithkirk, back to stone wall, opposite telegraph pole and farm, on South side of road. Bedale rose iron casting, erected by the County Council in the 19th/20th century. Inscription reads:- : BROUGH / 7 / MILE / {arrow to right} : : NORTH RIDING OF / {rose} / YORKSHIRE : : MIDDLETON / 7¼ / MILES / {arrow to left} : Maker:- : F MATTISON & Co / BEDALE : Grade II Listed.
