Former "Crescent Inn", Warwick Road - September 2017

  • Description

"Regarded as perhaps the most flamboyant of Harry Redfern's designs for the State Management Scheme, the Hispano-Moresque "Crescent Inn" opened in 1932. Now Grade II listed, it has suffered periods of closure - but is currently open as an Italian restaurant. While the upper floors are no longer in use, much of the interior remains as Redfern left it and will hopefully be covered later. For a 2007 view, see: http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/650055 . Photograph is for record only. I have no connection with any business seen in this view and cannot advise on their products or services." Photo by The Carlisle Kid, 2017.
