Kirkby Lonsdale Cross

    ....Celtic cross set on a square shaft, plinth, and four steps, on the front faces of which epithets are incised. The plinth has four Norman arched faces with pillars and slate tablets bearing the incised names. A beribboned laurel wreath is carved in the arch above each set of names. The WW1 names are on the East, South and North faces, with the WW2 names on the West face. The whole is set on a gravel surround in a raised section of the churchyard, approached by a path and a set of stone steps.....
