    "Carved stone post by the B6254, in parish of KIRKBY LONSDALE (SOUTH LAKELAND District), Main Street, Southeast of Town End House, in wall of Milestone House, on East side of road. Kirkby Kendal stone, erected by the Kendal, Kirkby Lonsdale, Milnthorpe turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- London | 250 Settle | 17 Clapham | 11 Ingleton | 7 Grade II listed.
