    "Carved stone post by the B6254, in parish of KIRKBY LONSDALE (SOUTH LAKELAND District), Kearstwick, North end of village, in front of white house "Kearstwick Hill", on West side of road. Kearstwick number stone, erected by the Kendal, Kirkby Lonsdale, Milnthorpe turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- : 11 : : 1 : (To Kendal and Kirkby Lonsdale) Carved benchmark and rivet on top. Milestone Society National ID: WE_KLKDa01" Photo by C Minto, 2005.
