Old Milestone by the B6256, near Killington New Bridge

    "Carved stone post by the B6256, in parish of Sedbergh (South Lakeland District), 100m South East of Killington New Bridge over River Lune (previous Yorkshire boundary), near gate in wall, on South side of road. Sedbergh BBKL stone, erected by the Sedbergh turnpike trust in the 18th century. Inscription reads:- : BB / 7¾ : : K.L. / 8¾ : (To Borrow Bridge and Kirkby Lonsdale) Grade II listed.
