    "Travelling towards Sedbergh the position of the milestone on the very narrow verge can be appreciated. 8 out of 9 milestones that were set up between Sedbergh and Garsdale Head when that section of the road was in the West Riding, but now Cumbria, are complete and still be the roadside. Only Sedbergh 5, Hawes 11 is missing. Garsdale Head was the West Riding CC/North Riding CC boundary prior to 1974. Grade II listed 1384134." Photo by Chris Minto, 2024.
