ABBOT HOLME HOUSE (EAST) AND ATTACHED BARN - Sedbergh - List Entry

    Farmhouse with attached cart-shed and barn. Probably mid C18; altered. Roughly-coursed mixed rubble with quoins (house white-washed), slate roofs except lower half of both front and rear slopes of house which are stone slate. Double-depth double-fronted house facing south, with barn linked to east gable wall and canted back. EXTERIOR: the house is 2 storeys and 2 windows, almost symmetrical, with a square-headed doorway in the centre, a square window to the left and a smaller rectangular window to the right (both with altered glazing) and 2 small 4-pane sashes above (both with exposed boxes).
