Gatehouse at entrance to The College

  • Description

"This is the view from The College towards the gatehouse and the exit to the North and South Bailey. The building dates to circa 1500 with restoration work done around 1860. The stonework on the upper floor does look different [smooth ashlar] and newer than the lower section. The gatehouse is grade I listed." Photo by Gordon Hatton, 2024.
