Wesleyan Methodist Church, Fawcett Hill, Craghead
-
Description
The Wesleyan Methodist chapel on Fawcett Hill first appears on the third edition Ordnance Survey map of 1919-1926 (1) at the western end of terraced housing between Wylam Street and Wagtail Lane. There is documentary evidence that the church contained at least two items dedicated as war memorials, one as early as 1919 (2) so the church must have been in existence prior to this..... -
