Description
House, now Methodist holiday centre. 1840s, extended c1870. Attributed to Webster of Kendal. Painted roughcast with some limestone dressings and slate roof. PLAN AND EXTERIOR: earliest part of house T-plan, of 2 storeys plus attic, with a south facade which is almost symmetrical and of 3 bays with the central bay projecting under a gable with shaped bargeboards. The windows have tall chamfered surrounds and paired glazing bar sashes separated by timber mullions.... -
