FORMER STABLE BLOCK TO GRANGE HOTEL - Grange over Sands - List Entry

    Stable block. 1866. Probably by EG Paley. For Furness Railway. Limestone rubble with sandstone dressings and slate roof. Built around a central courtyard. The south range, facing the main road, has a central 2-storey gateway under a half-hipped roof, with a segmental arch and with a 1st-floor window of 2 round-headed lights. To the left there are 2 doorways separated by 2 windows each of 2 lights with segmental heads and keystones....
