Snecked red sandstone with ashlar dressings, slate roof. 2 storeys; U-shaped plan with asymmetrical, 3-bay entrance front to Duke Street, 5-bay right return and longer wing across rear which links to Church of St Mary of Furness (qv). Entrance front: chamfered plinth; rounded corner on right, corbelled at 1st floor....
