OLD BOBBIN MILL - Satterthwaite - List Entry

    Mill, now house. C18 or early C19. Stone rubble, most roughcast. 2 storeys, 11 bays, 2 bays to west are of one storey and higher. South elevation has windows with C20 casements, the 1st 2 bays with fixed glazing. End 3 bays have ground floor raised over basement. Adjacent wall and round piers are remains of coppice barn.....Interior retains wheel pit, spiral stair and line shafting with wheels....
