    Looking south at the end of Ravenglass village. Beside the slipway a thatched cottage, 'The Old Thack', which no longer exists. Joe Farren with side whiskers, cap and stick leans on the wall, his dog beside him. The thatch is wearing out. On the left his cart, surname painted on the side. The Mite estuary beyond.
