Emergency Water Supply Sign, Penrith, Cumberland

  • Description

Now subsumed by partial demolition and new-build, this very faint EWS sign was on the side of Penrith's 'Regent' cinema on Old London Road. I can only think the sign pointed to Thacka Beck, which flows beneath here. Photographed in the 1990s sometime. Leica Mini II, Kodak ISO 200 colour negative film.
