Castle Street, Carlisle

  • Description

"Formerly the A595 and also the Newtown route of the City of Carlisle Electric Tramway until closure in November 1931, Castle Street is now partly pedestrianised. It is the route of The Cumbria Way from Carlisle to Ulverston which starts/ends at the nearby Carlisle Cross in the city centre." Photo by Adrian Taylor, 2013.
