    News and Star, 10th October 2020. "Carlisle City Council has received updated proposals to vary previously approved conditions to turn a former police station on Abbey Street into a home. Plans had previously been given planning permission in 2015. According to the heritage statement, at the time: “The property was purchased in 1905 by the Cumberland and Westmorland Constabulary...."
