Warwick Road, Carlisle : Buildings with an uncertain future

  • Description

"At the far left, with a blue board above it, is the empty Lonsdale Cinema [[650075]]. It is separated by a narrow lane from the main Post Office, which is soon to close [[650063]]. To the right, the White House pub is up for sale [[650055]]. Carlisle MP Eric Martlew has called for these three buildings to be safeguarded, and the area is the subject of a development brief by Carlisle City Council." Photo by Rose and Trev Clough, 2007.
