    "Originally occupied by Boots the Chemists, the building is notable for the four statues in niches; these are (clockwise from top left): a not very good likeness of Thomas Bewick (see [[910540]]), Sir Henry Percy (Harry Hotspur), Roger Thornton (see [[3940378]]) and Sir John Marley (who defended Newcastle against the Scots in 1644).
