    "An 'over the top' shot of this horizontal single cylinder engine by W Bradley of the Gooder Lane Ironworks, Brighouse. It is on display at this English Heritage site and can be demonstrated in steam. It is simple but quite elegant. The wooden cylinder cladding is a more recent addition and is not seen in my photographs from 1986!" Photo by Chris Allen, 2023.
