    Located in Cockermouth, Cumbria. The Theatres Trust says the Grand Theatre was mainly a cinema from its opening in summer 1915. It had a 30ft wide proscenium and a 25ft deep stage, with four dressing rooms. The stage was never equipped with a fly tower. In 1930 it was equipped with a British Acoustic(BA) sound system. It was operated by Graves Cinemas Ltd. from the early-1940’s. The Grand Theatre was closed in 1966. It was converted into retail use. In April, 1995.....
