Description
"Methodist Chapel, dated 1867 on porch, probably by S.S. Teulon. Rock-faced stone with tooled-and-margined dressings; roof blue slate above purple. Rectangular chapel with south-east porch, south-west vestry and north-west schoolroom wing. Free Gothic style; chamfered plinth, stepped buttresses between bays and set diagonally at angles, triangular heads to all openings, moulded corbels to eaves; gables with overlapped slab coping and elaborate moulded and gabled kneelers. South elevation 6 bays; projecting porch in bay 6 has boarded door with scrolly ironwork in double-chamfered surround, beneath inscription 'WESLEYAN PROVIDENCE CHAPEL' and date; projecting vestry in bay 1 has central stepped stack carrying hooded lantern with pyramidal cap....." -
