    "Village Hall and 2 houses. Dated 1885 and inscribed over entrance LIEUT COL CARLETON SALKELD BUILT THIS HALL, and shield of arms. Incised cement walls, red sandstone ashlar porch. Graduated greenslate roof, brick chimney stacks. Single-storey, 2-bay hall; 2-storey, 2-bay houses. Hall: plank doors under glazed fanlight in pointed chamfered surround; hood mould continues round sides of porch over small lancet windows. Shaped gable incorporates inscription panel..."
