Description
"A 19th century corn mill stood at Shotley Field Mill, and in the 1960s it was recorded as completely ruinous. A leat fed water to a wheel with wooden buckets and spokes. The wheel had a cast iron rim, hubs and shaft. Two pairs of millstones were seen as well as a roasting kiln, pearl barley machine and other pieces of machinery and fittings..." -
