Description
"View from the castle mound down to the former vicarage. The castle mound was the site of a medieval tower house, one of two in Alnham, and first mentioned in 1405 when it was surrendered to royal troops. It is thought to have been ruined by the end of the C16th. http://www.pastscape.org.uk/hob.aspx?hob_id=2246" Photo by Andrew Curtis, 2011. -
