-
Description
"An Iron Age multiple enclosure fort is visible as cropmarks on air photographs at NZ 1017 7661. It is oval in form an defined by at least three fragmentary circuits of ditch. The incomplete nature of the cropmark means that it is not possible to determine the width but the fort measures 164m long extrenally. Three large pits can be seen within the fort but these could be natural in origin. The fort occupies a small knoll situated between Middle Newham and West Newham...." -
