Bridge over the former railway

  • Description

"A very nicely preserved example of a stone arched bridge over the Waskerley Way. This section of the former railway was built in the 1850's to replace a section of the original Stanhope and Tyne Railway on a better line. Although it's near Healeyfield, it isn't the actual Healeyfield Bridge. That's the one on the original line, as can be seen on the map." Photo by Robert Graham, 2021.
