    Teesside Live 23 NOV 2022. Includes video of the demolition. "The iconic structure which formed part of Teesside's steel heritage was brought down on an emotional day. Redcar Blast Furnace has been demolished on Wednesday morning marking an end of an era for Teesside steelmaking. The bulk of the structure was razed at 9am as part of the ongoing redevelopment of the Teesworks site. Casting houses, the dust catcher, charge conveyors, and the blast furnace itself were among structures to come down. The four enormous gas stoves which heated the furnace are set to be demolished separately in the following month....."
